Position Title: Home Equity Processor I
Job Type: Full-Time
Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary: $16.80 – $22.00

Our growing credit union is searching for a detail-oriented team member to provide exceptional service to our members. This includes providing prompt, efficient and courteous service while providing loan services. Striving to provide excellent member service is the employee’s primary goal.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES
Accurately process all Consumer Loan and Home Equity loan products received through the mail, Internet, E-mail, Call Center, Branches and the Express Center.
Process loan applications approved by the Loan Review Committee/Board of Directors.
Process Delinquency Workout loans.
Report loans as required by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA).
Accurately prepare RESPA packages within the defined time frame to ensure compliance with all
regulations.
Determine HPML and HOEPA status.
Respond to members’ loan requests and inquiries in a professional manner.
Handle member loan questions and telephone calls.
Investigate and resolve member complaints and inquiries.
Recommend loan policy and procedure changes.
Stay abreast of TILA/RESPA and all other regulations pertaining to Home Equity products.
Contribute to the team effort by performing all other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Employee must register with the NMLS Registry as required by the S.A.F.E. Act.
Thorough knowledge of the various rules and regulations governing loan services (Reg. B, Reg Z,Fair Credit Reporting Act, Reg. C, ECOA, RESPA, HMDA, TRID and Fair Housing Act).
Ability to read and interpret credit reports.
Ability to read and interpret home appraisals and property searches.
Ability to interpret basic financial statements.
PC proficiency required, with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
Strong people skills and a knack for problem solving.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Must be prepared to process loan applications at any location within the branch network.
EDUCATION
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Previous financial and or member service experience required.
