Job Description

Overview:
The Associate Manager is in charge of the editorial voice, program scheduling, and overall success of their assigned channels on the platform. This role reports to the Team Lead from their respective category/categories. The Associate Manager is on the front line of revolutionizing the future of TV and is critical to achieving the Pluto TV mission of entertaining the planet.

 

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement successful programming schedules demonstrating data and research
Analyze and evaluate trends in content performance and consumer behavior
Collaborate, ideate, implement programming stunts, and channel launches
Experimental approach with goal of using data to support the success of content, channels, and scheduling strategies
Work as a collaborative partner within the Programming team which includes standards and practices around the quality of programming
Engage with the larger Pluto TV organization, partnering with the Marketing teams, Content Operations, Content Partnerships, etc.
Review content catalogs from major entertainment studios, distribution and production companies as well as select independent outlets
Contribute best practices and programming strategies with the team
Maintain the content database of TV, film, and digital catalogs
Learn new software and practices to increase efficiency and quality
Submit bugs and product feedback for the Pluto content management system
Other tasks and duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
2 years experience in media and entertainment
BA/BS or related professional experience

Additional Qualifications:
Broad knowledge and passion for media, entertainment, and content
Ability to research and analyze data
Excellent project management, organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload, and manage partner expectations
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
A creative spirit, collaborative mindset, eagerness to learn, and a team player

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

 

Hiring Salary Range: $56,000.00 – 70,000.00.

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
