Position Summary
Oversee the compilation of student data (GPA, graduation rate, attrition) for various audiences including the CSTEP/HEOP Program Directors and Assistant Directors, University Provost Office, school deans and directors. Verify student eligibility and maintain the student roster for HEOP and CSTEP programs. Coordinate all aspects of Non-credit courses (NCCs) scheduling and tutorial services for the Opportunity Programs’ Academic Services Unit. Schedule pre-first year, first year, and upper division students for NCCs and respond to academic support inquiries related to the Opportunity Programs. Analyze the Opportunity Programs’ data and reporting needs, conduct surveys, literary reviews and develop processes to ensure that information is readily available for the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) and Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) mid-year and final State Education reports. On occasion this role may assist and provide expert knowledge to our Pre-college programs.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Education:
Master’s Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years of experience in a university or college setting working with student data, or in a Registrar’s Office, or equivalent education and experience

Preferred Experience:
Experience working in a Opportunity Programs such as HEOP, TRIO, STEM, SEEK, etc. or with like populations. Understanding of grant reporting or familiarity working in grant funded positions.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels both verbally and in writing. Proficiency with database and spreadsheet software and capacity to learn new software applications quickly. Must be able to work under multiple overlapping deadlines.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with Student Information Systems such as Peoplesoft, Starfish, etc. Ability to run data reports using several systems including UDW+ software. Ability to train staff on the use and application of these software programs.

Additional Information
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $100,000.00.
