Position Summary

The Access Training Manager is responsible for managing credentialed trainers, development and delivery of an integrated training program, oversight of end user support for all registration areas at all Maine Health facilities reporting through the Senior Director of Access Services. The scope of these programs will ensure that the 700 plus registration representatives, coordinators, supervisors and managers working at all MaineHealth facilities are trained within the established time frames. The Training Manager is also responsible for oversight of registration related policy and procedure training at all MaineHealth physicians’ practices. The Training Manager is actively involved in formulating and writing of policies and procedures, system configurations and evaluation and testing of new and updated software. The Access Training Manager is responsible for all aspects of training including developing the training materials, oversight of all registration credentialed trainers providing both classroom and one on one training of end users, and for working with other departments to integrate both their training processes and materials. The Access Training Manager is responsible for direct supervision of credentialed trainers and also responsible for assessing related staff performance through initial and subsequent training, supporting the staff on Go Live issues, providing additional training post implementation and for maintaining all aspects of the training programs. The work requires travel throughout the state and is complex, analytical and problem solving in nature. Problem solving is a critical skill in this position and it is called upon on a daily basis.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

License/Certifications:Epic certification.
Experience:3 to 5 years of experience in healthcare, education, Information Services or computer software training and troubleshooting required. Management experience including hiring, firing, counseling, discipline and performing evaluations. Experience with elearning system design, development, administration and reporting is desired. Experience with training and support of web design and development is desired.
Must have ability to support all Access related systems, including, Epic, Emdeon, Payor Sites, Mosaiq and other Provider Based Billing systems.
