Key job responsibilities
The job is a hybrid role of legal and business affairs and requires drafting and negotiating development, licensing, production, marketing, and other commercial agreements while providing ongoing legal and business affairs counsel across a range of fields.

A day in the life
You will serve as primary legal and business affairs support for original programming for MGM+. You will be a legal and business affairs and thought partner for the business on day-to-day matters as well as long-term strategic issues. You will own drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements with production companies, studios and talent. Our team gets to solve a constant flow of novel challenges in a growing and exciting business. Working directly with business colleagues, you will serve as lead counsel in strategic content deals and help manage existing commercial relationships. Our work is intellectually challenging, exciting and fast-paced.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years experience practicing law as a transactional attorney, preferably with some of that time spent working in entertainment transactions.

Fully licensed to practice law in the state of California
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Deep experience structuring, drafting, negotiating, and closing a broad range of commercial contracts within the entertainment industry.

Prowess in delivering results independently, as well as collaboratively

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $195,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
