YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)

Serves as an internal consultant providing systems, policy & procedure, operational, technological review/support, and business analysis to all departments allowing them to focus on their primary duties of revenue generation, servicing the guests or operational support. The incumbent in this position is responsible for developing, supporting, and assisting in maintaining and revising various analysis reports.

Requirements
THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)

Responsible for the direction and supervision of the Planning and Analysis Department
Will lead analysis projects, real-time financial performance monitoring, supervise the data collection and report writing, and prepare summaries and recommendations based on the data
Creates variance analysis reports and financial models
Analysis work may be for any area of the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas or special projects including complex forward-looking and valuation modelling for JC Hospitality board or investors
Responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of all data
Sets and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives
Director is expected to be a self-starter and initiate planning and analysis work that relates to strategic planning for Virgin Hotels Las Vegas
Articulate the research findings and results to Virgin Hotels Las Vegas Executives and make recommendations based on those results
Lead the acquisition of the business intelligence tools needed for the Planning and Analysis department to succeed
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, every employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

Attend the required training sessions offered by Virgin Hotels Las Vegas
Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations
Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco
Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department
Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance
Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of management
WHAT IT TAKES (The Qualities We Look For)

Understanding of data storage and an ability to read queries and extract data from the system
Demonstrated ability to lead and direct analytically oriented individuals
Must be proficient with Windows PC software with special emphasis on Excel spreadsheets
Excellent presentation skills and attention to detail
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently
Must possess analytical skills to identify statistical trends and anomalies
Must be able to learn new business intelligence tools and report writing tools as necessary
MUST HAVE’S

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration required
5+ years of resort experience in planning, analysis, financial analysis, and/or database marketing
