Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced Attorney to join its Political Law Team. Areas of responsibility include legal support for Pay-to-Play, Lobbying, Gifts and Entertainment (G&E) to Government Officials, Conflicts of Interests, and Corporate Political Activity. The successful candidate will have a background in these practice areas or adjacent practice areas.
JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide advice in the areas of Pay-to-Play, Lobbying, Gifts and Entertainment to Government Officials, Conflicts of Interests, G&E, and Corporate Political Activity
Provide advice and counsel to business lines, government relations and compliance on a variety of government interactions and political law-related issues.
Provide timely and exceptional support to senior leader requests for review of political activity.
Provide legal support for company-wide political activity and G&E pre-clearance program.
Review PAC disbursements and annual PAC solicitations for compliance with applicable policy and law
Provide general legal advice regarding corporate political activities
Quickly identify and escalate legal and reputational risks associated to government interactions
Basic Qualifications
Licensed by and in good standing with the appropriate state bar association or other appropriate state attorney licensing authority
Preferred Skills/Experience
Five or more years of legal experience with a focus on federal, state, and local Pay-to-Play laws, lobbying registration and reporting laws, gift/bribery laws, conflict of interest or related areas
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple time-sensitive research requests simultaneously and work with minimal supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $125,715.00 – $147,900.00 – $162,690.00
