Job Description
The Senior Accountant will serve as a liaison between the Company’s Finance and Supply Chain Operational teams. This role will support the North America Supply Chain Warehouse teams’ efforts by providing sound analytics and financial schedules, while measuring and tracking ongoing operations and new initiatives. The role also supports the monthly financial close process of all warehouse-related areas. The Senior Accountant will develop and maintain working relationships with members of the Brand Operational and Finance teams, as well as all Supply Chain, Corporate and other Shared Service teams throughout the organization.
Ideal candidates will be highly motivated with a desire to understand broader concepts and principles as it relates to Supply Chain operational decisions and related financial impact. Must be able to work in a high-demand environment, work independently to meet deadlines and complete various projects/tasks as assigned. This individual is expected to be a self-starter, resourceful and process-improvement oriented.
Responsibilities
Perform month-end accounting procedures inclusive of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for all North America distribution and fulfillment centers.
Analyze results, investigate, and explain variance explanations vs budget and previous year.
Lead monthly customer service discussions through in-depth P&L reporting using volume, rate and mix analyses.
Lead monthly supplies discussion through in-depth P&L reporting using volume, rate, and mix analyses.
Manage in-depth M&R P&L reporting through detailed tagging and monitoring procedures.
Monitor and report on North America capital expenditure projects (cash flow).
Create and own the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for applicable areas.
Distribute valuable daily financial labor reporting for all North America distribution and fulfillment centers by partnering with multiple operational teams.
Connect with operational partners to identify risks and opportunities to the business.
Audit and monitor Supply Chain and financial information systems to support financial analyses.
Provide ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by Supply Chain, Brand and Corporate Finance.
Qualifications
2-4 years of Finance/Accounting experience
Journal entry experience, variation analysis, and other related P&L/BS reporting is preferred.
Knowledge and familiarity with distribution, transportation, and manufacturing operations is a plus.
Experience in financial modeling and application of budgeting techniques is a plus.
Ability to effectively interpret financial results and derive alternative insights.
Excellent skills in MSOffice – Excel and PowerPoint most heavily used.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
