Summary:
Temple University as well as agencies and organizations throughout the City of Philadelphia, offer a significant number of community-facing services and programs to individuals and families in Philadelphia. As Director of the Integrated Services Center, the Director will be responsible for cataloging such efforts and taking the lead role in sharing this information with neighbors and community leaders, promoting opportunities for collaboration among the university stakeholders, and strategizing the expansion of services and programs in alignment with the university’s Strategic Plan. The Director will be assisted by a team of community navigators responsible for cultivating productive relationships and maintaining rapport with University staff and stakeholders as well as the external community at large. Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and at least four (4) years of directly related experience in economic or workforce development, social work, human resources, or relevant professional experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, Survey Monkey, Google Forms, and/or comparable software.
*Strong facilitation skills to conduct focus groups, build coalitions, hold respectful community conversations, and facilitate partnership meetings.
*Excellent written and clear, and effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
*Strong, demonstrated ability to collect, manage, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data for needs assessments, process, outcome, and impact evaluations.
*Ability to interact comfortably with a broad and diverse range of individuals to advance the vision and goals of Temple University.
*Strong work ethic encouraging teamwork and innovation through adaptability, flexibility, and diplomacy.
Preferred:
*Master’s Degree
*At least two years of supervision, fiscal, and/or project management experience.
*Established relationships with community organizations in North Philadelphia and across the city preferred.
*Strong familiarity with the neighborhoods, populations, and history of North Philadelphia and Greater Philadelphia.
*Demonstrated ability to manage and sustain momentum for complicated, multi-dimensional projects (including planning, critical thinking, negotiation, and communication skills).
*Demonstrated commitment to serving the communities and residents of North Philadelphia
*Strong awareness of structural and systemic barriers to education and employment and the intersections of employment with other social issues such as housing insecurity, food insecurity, disability, and incarceration preferred.
*Ability to travel in and around North Philadelphia and the City in general.
*Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed.
*Familiarity with Canva, Constant Contact, WIX/Drupal/Wordpress, and/or comparable software.
This position requires a background check.
This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote); the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
