As the Raiderettes Social Media Assistant you will help execute the Raiderettes’ digital content and social media strategy, while working closely with multiple departments to create awareness and develop initiatives that enhance the Raiderettes brand.  This is a Part-Time, Seasonal position.  

Essential Job Functions 

  • Performs the role with an ‘always on’ approach to digital and social media.
  • Contributes to and executes the social media strategy for the Las Vegas Raiderettes’ Instagram and Facebook accounts. 
  • Ability to shoot and produce short video/photo content for social distribution.
  • Supports sponsorship and marketing activations through social platforms.
  • Coordinates work with content creators and Ambassadors to amplify social media engagement strategies.
  • Assists in maintaining the Raiderettes’ social media calendar and posting schedule to maximize impact of posts.
  • Assists the Raiderettes with creative requests and asset delivery for social media channels.
  • Assist in custom social media analytics reports using social media platforms native insights and analytics tools.
  • Tracks content against KPIs, identifying trends and best practices.
  • Engages in community management.
  • Ability to understand fan sentiment and club/player narratives to help drive content creation.
  • Real-time coverage of games and events.
  • Recognizes and reacts to real-time, emerging trends and current events to create content for distribution across social channels.
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in sports social media required.
  • Passion for and experience in social media marketing, with strong understanding of trends and best practices.
  • Photography and videography experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Raiderettes, Raiders and their athletes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Hardworking and self-motivated.
  • Creative and adept at Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and/or InDesign and editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or After Effects is an asset.
  • A basic understanding of the sporting broadcast landscape and live rights and restrictions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products and the ability to learn other basic computer programs.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Passion for social media marketing, with a strong understanding of trends and best practices.
  • Must be available to work every Raiders home game and Raiders away games as needed.  
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to):

  • Sitting for long periods of time throughout shift. 
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25lbs.
  • Occasional walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
