Position Title: Consumer Lending – General Support Admin
Job Type: Full-Time
Classification: Exempt
Salary: $45,600 to $68,400
Promote financial education awareness to members, potential members in the communities we serve and our employees. Be well versed in all PFCU products and services and keep current with changes. Act as the primary financial education liaison between PFCU and Partner Groups, schools, community organizations and other businesses to coordinate in-person and virtual seminars.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…
Develop, implement, and facilitate educational lesson plans for all ages and abilities. Research the most effective teaching methods for different age groups and diverse cultural groups, using comprehensive knowledge of sound financial guidance.
Implement and execute specific programs designed to meet members’ needs.
Ability to educate in a variety of situations using a mix of platforms including webinars or in- person presentations.
Deliver financial education curriculum in a high-energy, enthusiastic, motivational style.
Regularly monitor information regarding financial education resources, materials and statistics.
Maintain accurate records of appointment scheduling and attendees through our contact management software and log all appointments in departmental Microsoft Outlook calendar.
Responsible for creating and coordinating the advance promotion of presentations, seminars, workshops directed toward developing and servicing our Partner Groups, our members and those living in the communities we serve regarding their financial well-being.
Assist in creating news releases and publications, as needed, to promote financial education program to the public.
Willingness to represent PFCU in the media when opportunities arise.
Responsible for completing and submitting monthly a report of activities, including information such as number of seminars conducted and number of attendees, etc.
Responsible for making new account follow-up calls for applications brought back because of your efforts.
Assist in the preparation and dissemination of financial education reports, media materials and related documents to senior management when needed.
Represent PFCU at community meetings and events.
Conduct financial education classes for employees as requested.
Act as the liaison between PFCU and Clarifi.
Collect information, conduct research and prepare monthly reports analyzing and assessing the Financial Education Program.
Perform other duties as required by the Marketing Manager and Senior Management.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops to maintain certification, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED…
Bachelor’s degree in education or at least five years’ experience in lending, financial counseling or public relations.
Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Ability to operate office equipment
Classroom/teaching experience is preferred.
Motivated team player with a desire to work with underserved communities.
Financial Counseling Accreditation preferred but not required.
Financial Counseling Accreditation must be obtained within three months of accepting the position.
Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft products including, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency using Webex and GoTo for virtual seminars
Extensive knowledge of all PFCU products and services.
Must know how to read and understand financial statements, budgets and loan agreements.
Must be able to work independently, with minimum supervision.
Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to prioritize multiple demands
Position requires regular travel. The extent of travel required will vary based on business needs, but is estimated at 80%. Reliable transportation needed.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include early mornings, evening and weekend seminars and events.
