Position Summary
Serve as Music and Audio Research Laboratory point person for grants management and project coordination. This includes advising faculty and principal investigators on federal, state, University and School fiscal guidelines and requirements to ensure compliance; managing all grant accounts/budgets; working with faculty to develop research proposals; advising on allocable and allowable costs; developing budget projections; and monitoring and approving grant expenditures. Monitor all aspects of restricted and grant-funded projects within select units at Steinhardt and across other University departments. Monitor the revenue and expenditures of restricted and grant-funded projects. Provide ongoing analytical support and financial reporting to external funding agencies. Oversee grant budgets, revenues, transfers and expenditures. Assisting with community outreach, coordinating events and project management.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Experience:
Less than 3 years relevant research administration and grant proposal review experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong organizational ability with keen attention to detail. Excellent writing, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation. Able to interact effectively and diplomatically with colleagues across all levels of the organization. Knowledge of Content Management Systems and website maintenance a plus. Knowledge of standard office software with proficiency in Excel.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $67,536.00 to USD $82,544.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
