Position Summary
Manage the Violations Program for New York University and act as a representative with regulatory agencies as necessary in working to resolve violations issued. Collaborate with Facility Managers and NYU’s insurance carrier to ensure recommendations made in response to violations or as a result of inspections are addressed Works with clients, including architects, to bring plans into compliance; submits the plans to DOB and FDNY and provide all necessary paperwork to complete the expediting process. Manage the inspections of annual FDNY permits and ensure permits are renewed as required and assists with the Fire and Life Safety program. Perform compliance inspections in conjunction with EHS, Code Compliance, and Fire and Life Safety to identify and mitigate future risks. Represent NYU at OATH hearings and coordinate the certification of correction and penalty payments for violations. Manage the inflow of incidents and determine the best course of action. Responsible for reviewing accuracy, tracking and processing all payments to regulatory agencies for inspections fees.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Required Experience:
3+ years of experience maintaining detailed trackers and databases for multiple, concurrent projects with variable support requirements (e.g. court dates, fines, corrective actions, historical/background information, incident reports, etc.). Experience in obtaining records from FDNY, DOB, DEP, ECB, etc., and the preparation and submission of the respective agencies’ forms and documents necessary to correct and obtain sign-off and/or dismissal.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience creating and managing databases with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access & Powerpoint. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of employees within the University and with representatives from City Agencies. Highly organized and possessing excellent follow-up skills. Knowledge of OATH and regulatory agency online and in person systems. Working knowledge of city, state, and general regulatory agency code. Ability to represent NYU at OATH hearings.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $87,284.48 to USD $106,681.02. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
