The Role:
The Vice President of Business Sales directs the activities of the LVCVA’s Business Sales Department and its staff.  You will be the lead salesperson, finding potential customers, building relationships, and closing sales.  You will also be responsible for all department sales activities including customer identification and development, as well as customer retention.  We have many loyal, repeat customers and taking care of them, resolving any concerns they may have, is very important.

What You’ll Do:
Keep in mind that this list in not all inclusive.
Develop and maintain a list of target and development customers and build strong relationships with them to meet new sales goals
Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for sales growth
Attend industry and other networking events to provide maximum exposure for Las Vegas
Analyze, monitor and approve placement of business for highest occupancy yield of the LVCC, and for the benefit of the greater Las Vegas resort partners
Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities
Lead other sales team members
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team

What We’re Looking For
Experience selling a premium hospitality brand or destination
Keen knowledge of the convention and meetings industry and recent trends
Solid track record for creating long-term value for organizations
Effective and innovative leader and team builder
Savvy, a lot of stamina and conviction
Demonstrated and proven record of sales results
Exceptional customer relations and hospitality skills
Persuasive and goal-oriented, someone who wants to sell and is good at it
Sound business acumen, highly driven to succeed, possess high energy levels and natural sales instincts
Self-starter, ambitious, collaborative and committed
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups
Ability to travel
