The Maintenance Operations Manager position supports the ongoing growth of canned dairy line. The position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Job activities must be performed while complying with applicable safety and environmental regulations and/or La Colombe policies at all times.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the maintenance and facilities department.
Conducts performance evaluations to determine competency
Job Duties:

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, operation and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
Provides timely and accurate updates to the leadership regarding project status, budget and schedule.
Identifies issues proactively and fixes effectively to avoid down time or future failure of equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance in and around facilities. Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.
Responsible for an efficient and team driven focused operation that promotes continuous improvement in the areas of safety, cost, quality, delivery, environmental and technology.
Inspect finished projects to assure proper workmanship was achieved. Provide constructive feedback to employees as required.
Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.
Develop and maintain scheduled maintenance logs for facility and its components.
Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
Responsible for an efficient and team driven focused operation that promotes continuous improvement in the areas of safety, cost, quality, delivery, environmental and technology.
Coordinates or assist with coordinating and overseeing the activities of outside contractors.
Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
Ensures proper operation of systems in compliance with required regulations and codes.
Responds to emergency calls, as needed.
Performs related tasks as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering/Maintenance or related technical field.
Five + years in maintenance and/or operations of a process manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three + years of management/supervision of maintenance department.
In-depth knowledge of dairy plant maintenance is an asset.
Experience with repairs and maintenance of processing equipment .
Understanding of Corporate QA policies, GMP’s and have the ability to translate into workable plant procedures.
Better Process Control School preferred.  Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
