And if it’s outside, we’re all in.  In the important role of Manager, Global Auditing and Inspection you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the global inspection network including process development, implementation, and administration of quality inspection and certification processes. In addition, you will develop methods to check the quality of new products and improve the quality of existing products at the point of manufacture and monitor procedures already in operation, developing innovative solutions to drive vendors focus on improvements to their quality management system.

 

Responsibilities:

Work as part of the Quality Assurance management team to continually monitor and improve systems, methods, efficiency and the quality of products and services provided to internal and external customers
Utilize metrics and other tools to monitor the state of quality and compliance, implement continuous improvements accordingly. Collate and analyze performance data and charts against defined parameters monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
Coordinate and develop standard operating procedures for field staff and other QA personnel
Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff. Coordinate the initiation/revision of procedures and policies to ensure compliance with new standards, regulations, guidelines etc.
Drive improvements in suppliers’ quality management systems
Align with vendors to ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance within product standards and specifications
Interface with vendors for quality related tasks and incidents; perform data collection and analysis, communicate standards, issues, and changes
Drive identification of root cause of quality issues and execution of product quality improvements through preventive or corrective actions
Compile statistical data and author narrative reports summarizing quality assurance findings
Identify relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training
Act as the quality representative for specified project teams
Manage assigned personnel

Manage department budget
Make employment decisions/recommendations
Establish performance objectives, assign, direct and monitor work and appraise performance
Train, coach and develop employees
Administer/recommend wages and salaries
Resolve personnel problems following company policies and procedures
Communicate company policies and procedures
Prepare, maintain and update personnel records
Reduce work related injuries and illnesses and associated lost work time
Know and follow all safe work procedures

Skills & Qualifications:

BA/BS required
5-7 years of relevant experience required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-Initiative and creative problem-solving ability
Ability to prioritize while remaining flexible to change and shifting business needs
Ability to understand and develop strategic direction and translate into tactical actions
Proven success managing projects of a complex nature
Demonstrated success leading a department including budget creation and management
Ability to build relationships and influence without authority across function areas
Supervisory experience
Excellent organizational skills
Detail oriented with keen attention to accuracy
Negotiation skills
4 weeks of global travel required
