What You Will Do
Manage all aspects of proposal development, including pre-RFP planning, kickoff and status meetings, project schedule creation and adherence, version control, proposal compliance and final reviews. Following defined processes and best practices, ensure proposals are customer focused and articulate value. Provide direction and support to the sales team and other internal stakeholders throughout the proposal process.
Coordinate with sales lead to understand customer needs and business drivers and define proposal win themes focused on differentiation and value. Write and edit proposal sections for continuity, logic, organization, strategic messaging and compliance to highlight differentiators.
Communicate with designated subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and write non-standard responses to questions. Maintain professional working relationships with stakeholders across the business, including HR, Operations, Product Marketing, Legal, IT and InfoSec.
Contribute new and update existing content to maintain a robust library of standard responses within RFPIO.
Assist sales with creation of RFP questions and strategy for customers prior to release of a formal tender.
Provide presentation support to sales teams, including messaging, slide creation and development of other presentation materials.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all company products and services and their corresponding value proposition.
What You Will Bring To The Role
Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
Fluency in English written and verbal communication is a must
Fluency in French is desirable
Minimum three years of experience managing proposals following a defined proposal process for commercial and public sectors
Ability to interface with people at all levels of the organization, including cross-functional and regional teams
Demonstrable experience with and knowledge of proposal best practices
Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills, presentation experience and familiarity with style guides rules (AP Stylebook, BBC News Style Guide, Oxford Style Manual)
Excellent organizational skills, effective time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Office, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat and similar technology
Experience with content management systems, such as RFPIO, preferred
Familiarity with service-based solution selling, with preference for knowledge of Iron Mountain products and services or records management and digital solutions
APMP certification is a plus
