Responsibilities
CenterWell Primary Care is seeking a hard-working and dedicated Certified Professional Coder who is interested in being part of a team that focuses on excellent service to others.
This position works a Hybrid Work Schedule
Location Address: CenterWell East Tropicana: 3265 East Tropicana Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89121
Job Functions:
Uses practical knowledge and understanding of industry nomenclature; medical and procedural terminology; anatomy and physiology; pharmacology; and disease processes.
Codes diagnosis and procedures using classification coding systems.
Conducts pre reviews for upcoming appointments.
Reviews, interprets, and assigns diagnostic and procedural codes based upon medical record documentation according to correct coding principles.
Applies coding guidelines and conventions including proper sequencing of codes.
Communicates a thought, idea or fact in spoken and/or written form in a clear, concise and objective manner.
Abides by the Code of Ethics of professional health information management/coding organizations.
Required Qualifications:
CCA, CCS, CPC, or CPC-A Certification through AAPC or AHIMA
Knowledge of billing practices and clinic procedures
Knowledge of coding and clinic operating policies
Knowledge of coding guidelines
Must be able to assist providers and to attend meetings on as needed basis.
Proficient in CPT-4, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
Preferred Qualifications:
Asociate’s Degree or 2 years’ experience
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Risk adjustment experience.
Ability to travel 0-5% of the time.
Schedule: Monday – Friday form 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$47,000 – $64,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
