Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, New York. Software engineering role responsible for building new and maintaining existing enterprise applications and consumer products used globally by using the various frontend, backend, and database technologies. Work across all phases of the software development cycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, coding, building, testing, maintenance, and deployment of commercial scale software changes. Participate in technical design and development for both business-driven and infrastructure projects. Engage with support teams to troubleshoot and solve production issue affecting applications. Analyze new tools and technologies for proof of concepts and come up with recommendations. Collaborate with globally located cross functional teams in building customer-centric retail consumer banking products or supporting services. Build trusted partnerships with product managers, vendors, and external partners.

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year (with a Master’s degree) or three (3) years (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: building scalable REST application programming interfaces (APIs) in Java to support high-volume requests; using multi-tiered web applications, including application architectures and application integration; implementing design patterns utilizing service-oriented architecture (SOA) and micro-services; working with programming technologies including Java, Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, or Kafka; working with user interface (UI) technologies including React, HTML, Javascript, or CSS; working with open-source frameworks and application programming interfaces (APIs) including Dropwizard, Log4J, Mockito, or Junit; working with relational and NoSQL databases technologies including Sybase or MongoDB; utilizing source control management systems including Subversion or Gitlab; working across all phases of the software development cycle (SDLC); and implementing test driven development and performing testing to build reliable and resilient applications.

Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $159,000 – $180,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
