Are you ready to be part of something big?The Director of Leadership Development will be responsible for designing and implementing leadership development initiatives across the organization. This role will manage all leadership assessments, including but not limited to Hogan and 360-degree feedback, and provide internal coaching to leaders. Additionally, this position will drive the internal movement and selection process for pivotal leadership roles, including General Manager positions. The Director will also oversee and evolve the company’s nomination-based leadership program, General Manager University (GMU), and develop and implement an advanced version of the program to prepare future leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Assessments & Coaching:
- Manage and administer leadership assessments, including Hogan, 360s, and other relevant tools.
- Provide internal coaching for leadership teams, supporting their growth and development.
- Partner with external coaching providers as needed to enhance internal leadership capabilities.
Leadership Selection & Internal Movement:
- Lead the process for identifying and selecting leaders for key internal roles, with a focus on the General Manager role and other critical leadership positions.
- Collaborate with the Talent Management and HR teams to ensure alignment on leadership succession planning and development pathways.
- Build and maintain a strong internal pipeline of leadership talent.
General Manager University (GMU):
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of the GMU program, a nomination-based leadership initiative designed to develop future General Managers.
- Continuously improve the program to meet the evolving needs of the business and participants.
- Develop and implement an advanced version of the GMU program to deepen leadership capabilities and prepare high-potential talent for senior roles.
Leadership Program Development:
- Design and implement leadership development programs to address the unique needs of emerging, mid-level, and senior leaders.
- Ensure leadership programs are aligned with company goals, culture, and business strategies.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to keep leadership programs innovative and effective.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Hogan, Coaching, Leadership Development) preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in leadership development, talent management, or a similar role.
- Proven experience with leadership assessment tools (Hogan, 360s, etc.) and internal coaching.
- Strong experience with leadership selection and succession planning.
- Demonstrated success in designing and delivering leadership development programs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and influence senior leadership.
