Job Description
As an Advertising and Promotions Specialist at the City of Philadelphia, Department of Aviation, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our advertising and promotional strategies across multiple channels, including digital, social media, and traditional offline mediums. You will play a crucial role in building our brand presence and driving business growth.
Essential Functions
Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies:Create, implement, and manage comprehensive marketing plans to promote PHL/PNE products/services.
Conduct market research to identify target audiences and trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the company’s advertising and promotional strategy remains innovative.
Advertising Campaign Management:Oversee all aspects of advertising campaigns, including paid social media, billboards, online display, and print media.
Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling ad content and visuals.
Craft engaging and persuasive copy that align with brand voice and clearly yet creatively conveys campaign messaging.
Paid Social Media Management:Create and manage paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, and adjust strategies for optimal results.
Media Buying and Planning:Identify and negotiate with media outlets for billboard and OOH placements, ensuring maximum reach and visibility.
Develop media buying plans to allocate budget effectively across various channels.
Oversee the production of billboards, print ads, and other traditional advertising materials.
Analytics and Reporting:Generate regular reports on advertising performance, including ROI, CTR, and conversion rates.
Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Budget Management:Develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
Track expenses and maintain accurate records of marketing expenditures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with the marketing, communications and guest experience teams to align marketing efforts with revenue and guest experience goals.
Work closely with the creative team to ensure brand consistency across all advertising materials.
Build and maintain relationships with media partners, advertising agencies, and vendors.
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven track record of successfully managing advertising campaigns across various channels.
Proficiency in using advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.).
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work-Life
Work hours are generally 40 hours per week. Our team is currently hybrid with both virtual and in-office days, however the position can opt to come in the office each day if desired.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
3-5 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on advertising, paid social media, and media planning/buying.
