We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Accounting to join our Finance team. This role is located in New York, NY- HYBRID

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

Supports the accounting, reporting and product control functions related to BNYM’s Corporate Treasury activities, including its fixed income investment securities portfolio.
Producing daily investment portfolio activity reports.
Assisting with the measurement of expected credit losses and income amortization/accretion.
Performing independent price validation procedures and preparing SEC and regulatory reporting disclosure data.  Interaction with various groups including Portfolio Management, Risk, Technology, Securities Operations, and internal and external audit groups.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Accounting concentration preferred. MBA or CPA/CA/local area equivalent certification preferred.
5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
Knowledge of GAAP and accounting and finance concepts and analysis techniques preferred. Experience designing financial models and accounting processes preferred. Product control experience related to fixed income products a plus.
