Job Description
As a Barclays Structured Credit Desk Analyst, you’ll join an expanding Structured Credit Trading desk in New York, help build out credit financing capabilities, and use evaluative judgement & analytical skills inherent in managing the risk parameters required of a credit analyst. In this role, you’ll also collaborate with key external stakeholders and develop and maintain relationships with equivalent personnel at key clients, as well as with existing internal stakeholders including Sales, Structuring, Risk, Credit, QA, IT, Middle Office.
Salary / Rate Minimum: $155,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $250,000

What will you be doing?
• Using credit skills to underwrite and evaluate corporate debt investments, with a focus on middle market lending across all industries
• Preparing concise approval documents through reviewing investment memos, industry research, financials statements and financial modeling
• Attending weekly asset review meetings and presenting asset-level recommendations to senior management
• Being responsible for the ongoing monitoring of collateral performance and portfolio health
• Interacting and collaborating with clients who originate and invest in corporate credit
• Diligencing prospective clients: which includes an independent assessment and recommendation on a potential clients’ underwriting process and credit quality
• Helping to buildout internal infrastructure that supports the business including data validation to ensure underlying asset level data is accurate and correct and collateral level monitoring

• Solid logical mindset with high attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize workload and work with Technology to help drive data smart solutions
• Ability to work under tight time constraints

Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
