Risk Finance team in Amex supports regional Finance teams, Risk Management, and Marketing teams on all aspects of Loss Provision. Our key responsibilities include: Planning, Forecasting, & Reporting – Build financial forecasts for Net Loss Provision to aid in investment decisions. Communicate monthly results and highlight key drivers of change to better enable long-term planning.  This position will be part of a highly talented team with strong intellectual curiosity. About Credit & Fraud Risk Finance

Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) Finance team delivers fact-based, decision-driven and high-impact Net Loss Provision forecasts and credit-risk related insights and deep analytics. The key objective is to drive prudent financial decisions and support credit-risk strategies while ensuring adherence to governance and controls. This position will be part of a hardworking team with strong intellectual curiosity.

About The Director – Stress Testing & Analytics Role

This role will lead the CCAR Provision team within Risk Finance under Corporate Planning (CP&A). The primary responsibility of the team is to leverage data, the latest tools and advanced techniques to innovate and help the organization make sound forecasts of the company’s Credit Provision forecast for all of AXP in the context of the annual Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) exercise.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Develop and maintain provision forecast models for the US and lead international markets
Analyze portfolio/market trends and identify key drivers of forecasted performance
Update provision methodology documentation submitted to internal validation teams and external regulators
Partner with various cross-functional teams, including Treasury, Corporate Planning, and Risk in support of CCAR, ICAAP, and other business forecasting exercises
What You’ll Bring

Experience with credit provision concepts, particularly CECL for credit cards.
Proficiency in SQL/HiveQL required.  Python experience also desired.
Advanced Excel skills including experience with PowerQuery
A high level of proficiency in PowerPoint
Experience leading large and complex projects
CCAR experience desirable but not required

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
