DESCRIPTION
The Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) supply chain team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results, to create and execute our worldwide supply chain. AMXL obsesses over customers by offering a white glove service where we deliver TVs and other large items like furniture to customers’ homes. Not only do we deliver large parcels, we unpack, assemble, install and sometimes even do tests, hauling away old items as needed.
We are seeking an experienced leader for an exciting opportunity to work in the last mile delivery space to drive forecasting, capacity planning and launching new last mile delivery operations. In this role you will deal with ambiguity, identify problem statements and develop innovative solutions to improve Customer Experience, reduce cost and create a best in class home delivery network.

The transportation network encompasses all of the operations required to deliver worldwide shipments from our fulfillment channels to our customers.

Preferred locations are Seattle, Bellevue, or Nashville.

Key job responsibilities
– Supply chain planning and delivery capacity planning
– Build Forecasting tools leading teams with advanced analytical, mathematical, and quantitative capabilities
– Own business goals to optimize customer experience and cost
– Develop deep understanding of transportation planning and optimization tools
– Partner with product, technical, operations and other network planning teams to build scalable solutions
– Continuous Improvement – Analyze the impact of business changes on demand (Super Region/ site level) and continuously improve the forecasting processes by diving deep into the gaps within existing tools and by automation and standardization while working with internal and external stakeholders (Retail, Finance, Transportation, Operations).
– Voice of Customer – Work with all customers (Capacity Planning, SPR planning, Middle Mile team) to understand their changing requirements and prioritize modeling changes to meet their needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation Logistics, or equivalent education/experience
– 3+ years of experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent education/experience
– Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
– Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Microsoft Access

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– MBA/MS and work experience in dedicated project management highly desired
– Practical application of program management methodology including PMP/Lean Six Sigma/Kaizen
– Advanced knowledge of analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau, MS Excel, or Microsoft Access
– Experience handling changing priorities and using good judgment when working in stressful situations
– Demonstrable problem-solving, mathematic, and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment
– Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization
– Ability to influence internal/external stakeholders without authority to adopt new processes/initiatives
– Executive level written and oral communication skills
– Ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities simultaneously
– Demonstrated success in thinking strategically and executing methodically
– Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
– Experience communicating data insights to others, including use of data visualization tools
– Ability to dive deep in understanding the product, our business and the competitive landscape
– Experience leading and owning cross-functional programs
– Experience owning the design, implementation, and optimization of initiatives at scale
– Experience with data mining and data analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
