Amazon Global Procurement Finance is seeking a Finance Manager to join its Category Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to create and innovate on behalf of our internal customers and build the procurement organization of the future.
The Finance Manager will be a finance partner to the relevant Category business team supporting implementation of sourcing strategy through thoughtful insights and financial analysis. This includes, among other things, responsibility for financial metrics, reporting, forecasting and analysis.

Key job responsibilities
Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling.
Contribute to business decisions by providing insightful analysis and methodical consideration for the end-to-end impact to systems, financial controls and ongoing support requirements.
Identify opportunities and drive automation in existing manual process
Facilitate financial review meetings with cross functional teams and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management.
Manage the annual financial planning & analysis and quarterly budgeting exercise accurately, completely and in a timely basis
Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions and planned future initiatives.
Facilitate the Business reviews with data analysis and follow through with business leaders on actionable items.
A day in the life
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following abilities: they influence business owners, effectively lead meetings with senior leaders, support thoughtful decision-making through data, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment. This individual will also play a key role in decision making and developing financial insights as part of monthly and quarterly business reviews. This individual is able to drive network scale initiatives, enforce standard work, review and action purchase requests, develop and lead cost business reviews, and provide ad-hoc analysis on large or ambiguous tasks.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)
5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
MBA, or CFA
