Position Title: Account Services Associate
Job Type: Full-Time
Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary: $15.35 – $23.02
As a member of the Account Service team, your primary responsibility is to serve and satisfy the credit union members. This includes whether your job involves dealing with the member directly or indirectly. You will affect members’ accounts financially and non-financially through the posting of various types of transactions. You should possess the ability to work in groups and/or independently to meet deadlines to complete certain projects assigned by management. Departmental responsibilities are to attain the organization’s goal by providing effective and efficient quality service to the credit union membership through timely and thorough communication. Patience, tact, honesty and compassion are essential.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…
- Adhere to credit union policy in accordance with security and operational control requirements.
- Answer incoming calls daily according to service standards.
- Assist management with both long and short-term special projects.
- Provides administrative and clerical support for all PFCU card products.
- Responsible for daily payment posting, including charge-off, bankruptcy and CCCS checks received via the mail or within the credit union.
- Prepare and submit to management monthly statistics report each month according to standards set by management.
- Process daily miscellaneous member requests received via phone, fax or mail, including check copies, statements, change of address, verification of deposits and foreign restriction limits.
- Process daily return mail including checkbook returns, plastics and member correspondence.
- Process daily and monthly exception reports, adjusting member’s accounts accordingly.
- Responsible for processing government verifications as well as submitting claims.
- Prepare the daily cash letter for balancing.
- Review ATM deposits daily.
- Review e-deposits daily.
- Review check order exceptions daily.
- Keep management informed of member concerns and refer more challenging inquiries for resolution.
- Other duties as required.
- Serve as back up when required.
- Complete periodic training including but not limited to BSA.
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED…
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years’ experience providing or selling financial services or related experience.
- Ability to balance and make mathematical computations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent Member Service skills.
- Possess good ethics and integrity.
- Possess analytical and problem solving skills.
- Must be attentive and detail-oriented.
- Possess effective organizational and written and oral communication skills.
- PC proficiency required.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
